We are honored to welcome Italian director and screenwriter Fabio Mollo to Terre di Cinema 2025.

Not only a filmmaker but also a committed educator, Fabio Mollo has been teaching film directing at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) since 2014, where he also curates the Filmmaking Lab. Deeply devoted to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers, he has combined his creative career with a strong engagement in cultural projects and international film education.

Mollo’s career spans across feature films, documentaries, and television series. His debut feature Il Sud è niente premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2013 before traveling to Berlin and numerous other festivals worldwide, winning the Camera d’Oro Taodue Award at the Rome Film Festival. His second feature, Il Padre d’Italia (2017), starring Luca Marinelli and Isabella Ragonese, received critical acclaim, multiple Nastro d’Argento nominations, and international recognition across festivals in France, the United States, and Russia.

He has also directed acclaimed projects for television and streaming platforms, including the Netflix series Curon (2020), the Mediaset series Masantonio – Sezione Scomparsi (2021), and the Amazon Original film Anni da cane (2021), the first Italian feature produced by Amazon Studios. His more recent works include My Soul Summer (2022) and Nata per te(2023).

Alongside his directing career, Fabio Mollo has served on prestigious juries such as the Camera d’Oro Award at the Rome Film Festival, the Lovers Film Festival in Turin, and the Filmschool Fest Munich. Since 2018, he has also been a proud member of the European Film Academy.

At Terre di Cinema, Mollo will share his rich experience with our international community of emerging filmmakers, embodying the very spirit of mentorship, artistic exchange, and dedication to cinema that the CineCampus stands for.
