On 21 September 2025, the closing day of our CineCampus, we welcomed Italian film director Sara Fgaier for a special screening at the Teatro Massimo di Siracusa. Fgaier presented her debut film, shot on Super 16mm, a work distinguished by its rigorous attention to analog language and visual style—from the cadence of the edit to the photochemical texture of the image.

Bringing a first feature crafted on film to our final day felt like the most faithful way to celebrate what Terre di Cinema stands for: the craft, discipline, and expressive power of shooting on celluloid. It was also the ideal moment to hand over the baton to the next chapter of cinema in Siracusa, coinciding with the opening of the Ortigia Film Festival (in collaboration with OFF).
