As part of the upcoming edition of CineCampus – Terre di Cinema – International Cinematographers Days, we are proud to announce the second edition of the Nanlux-Nanlite LightShow, taking place on September 6th in Sicily.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, this full-day experience is dedicated to exploring the creative and technical potential of LED lighting for analog cinematography. Designed to support the visual development of the short films shot during the CineCampus, the LightShow combines practical hands-on experimentation with technical illumination tests.

What’s New: Dual Masterclasses

This year’s edition expands its masterclass offering, featuring two distinct sessions led by renowned Directors of Photography:

• Exterior Night — Led by Vincenzo Condorelli AICMastering high-output Nanlux fixtures to sculpt evening to night scenes with cinematic texture.
• Interior Day — Led by Emilio Costa AICManaging the delicate balance between natural light and LED sources in indoor sets.

Hands-On Demos & Photochemical Integration

As with the first edition, participants will have the opportunity to get direct, hands-on experience with the latest innovations in the Nanlux and Nanlite lineups, including the new Matrix 2500C and the Evoke 5C LED kit.

A central focus of the day will be dedicated to evaluating how these modern LED tools translate onto film, featuring a special deep dive into color rendition and latitude using the new Kodak Verita 200D emulsion.

About the Cinematographers

Vincenzo Condorelli AIC

Cinematographer Vincenzo Condorelli AIC operates internationally between Europe, India, and the Middle East. With several Netflix Originals and international series to his name, and a theatrical feature set for global release on Amazon Prime, his work blends precise visual architecture with emotional resonance. As Artistic Director of Terre di Cinema, he brings his experience to guide a new generation of filmmakers on the path of analog storytelling. He is an IMAGO Board member, AIC Vice President, and Managing Editor of AIC Bulletin magazine.

Emilio Costa AIC

One of the most interesting and active cinematographers of the new generation of Italian cinema, expert in narrative lighting and color management. Born in Naples with a background in modern literature, he honed his craft on set and alongside international masters. Since his first feature film, Querido Fidel (2019), his visual research has been characterized by a sober, elegant, and realistic approach inspired by the observation of reality. A dedicated educator, he teaches cinematography at various academies and, since 2026, serves on the editorial board of the AIC Bulletin.

Seconda Edizione del Nanlux-Nanlite LightShow a Terre di Cinema

Nell’ambito della nuova edizione di CineCampus – Terre di Cinema – International Cinematographers Days, siamo orgogliosi di annunciare la seconda edizione del Nanlux-Nanlite LightShow, che si terrà il 6 settembre in Sicilia.

Dando seguito al successo della prima edizione, la giornata sarà interamente dedicata all’esplorazione del potenziale creativo e tecnico dell’illuminazione a LED applicata alla cinematografia su pellicola, con l’obiettivo di supportare lo sviluppo visivo dei cortometraggi realizzati durante il CineCampus.

Le Novità di Quest’Anno: Due Masterclass

Rispetto alla precedente edizione, l’offerta formativa si arricchisce con due distinte masterclass tenute da affermati Direttori della Fotografia:

• Exterior Night — Tenuta da Vincenzo Condorelli AICUso avanzato dei corpi illuminanti Nanlux ad alta potenza per scolpire scene serali e notturne con texture cinematografica.
• Interior Day — Tenuta da Emilio Costa AICLa gestione del delicato equilibrio tra luce naturale e sorgenti LED nei set d’interni.

Prova Hands-On e Test su Pellicola

Come per la prima edizione, la giornata offrirà l’opportunità di approfondire l’utilizzo hands-on delle più recenti novità della linea Nanlux e Nanlite, come il nuovo Matrix 2500C ed il kit Evoke 5C LED.

Un focus speciale sarà riservato alla resa di questi strumenti sulla pellicola cinematografica, con un approfondimento dedicato al comportamento cromatico e alla risposta della nuova emulsione Kodak Verita 200D.

Vincenzo Condorelli AIC

Attivo a livello internazionale tra Europa, India e Medio Oriente, Vincenzo Condorelli AIC ha firmato la fotografia di diverse serie originali Netflix e di lungometraggi distribuiti su piattaforme globali come Amazon Prime. Il suo lavoro unisce un’architettura visiva rigorosa a un’intensa risonanza emotiva. In qualità di Direttore Artistico di Terre di Cinema, mette la sua esperienza al servizio delle nuove generazioni di autori nel percorso del racconto analogico. E’ Membro del Consiglio direttivo di IMAGO, Vice Presidente di AIC, e Responsabile Editoriale della rivista AIC Bulletin.

Emilio Costa AIC

Uno dei direttori della fotografia più interessanti e attivi della nuova generazione del cinema italiano, esperto in illuminazione narrativa e color management. Napoletano, con un background in lettere moderne, ha arricchito la sua formazione formandosi direttamente sul set e studiando con maestri internazionali. Dal suo primo lungometraggio, Querido Fidel (2019), la sua ricerca visiva si distingue per una fotografia sobria, elegante e realistica, che trae spunto dall’osservazione del reale. È inoltre un appassionato docente di cinematografia in diverse accademie e dal 2026 fa parte del comitato editoriale della rivista AIC Bulletin.
