TERRE DI CINEMA – INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS ON CINEMATOGRAPHY
A celebration of the art and craft of Cinematography attended every year by top class cinematographers, prominent actors of the European cinema and TV industry, international film students, emerging talents and world leading brands in the domain of digital image acquisition systems and workflows.
TERRE DI CINEMA is at once a film festival, proposing a quality selection of European films, and a residential CineCampus joined by film students coming from a selected pool of prestigious international film schools.
TERRE DI CINEMA is also a showcase of the latest technological innovations in the domain of professional motion picture equipment and accessories, thanks to the participation of world leading brands, such as ARRI, Avid, Cartoni, JVC, Sony, Zeiss that have supported TERRE DI CINEMA since 2011 with high end technology and know-how.
The unmatched quality of all the planned activities is guaranteed by the patronage and active participation of AIC-Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia Cinematografica – the Italian society of cinematographers, IMAGO-European Federation of Cinematographers, and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, Italy’s national film school.
The location of TERRE DI CINEMA is the medieval town of Forza d’Agrò and the surrounding Taormina-Etna District, in Sicily, Italy.
A splendid territory, with an extremely rich cinematogaphic background, having already served as location for the productions of great directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Giuseppe Tornatore, Jean Negulescu, Joseph Losey and The Godfather‘s trilogy by Francis Ford Coppola, among many others.
